SLEEP

My eyes look so red

And my body is so tired

My eyelids are heavy and they brood

Black is the colour of my mood

Sleep I would if only I could

Last night’s full of insomnia

And today is sort of euphoria

As my eyes look gazed

My face is sort of dazed

Sleep I would if only I could

My eyes are so sore

Today even work is a bore.

As hazy thoughts in my mind pour

I wish I had slept some more.

Sleep I would if only I could.

As I wait for night to come

How I wish I was at home.

Moments may go and moments may come

But sleep is precious for days to come
